In Memory of John Michael Murphy November 1, 1963 - May 18, 2012

Obituary John Michael Murphy - age 48, died at a local hospital on Friday, May 18, 2012, following a short illness. He was born November 1, 1963 in Mobile, AL, to the late William Robert Murphy and Margaret McAllister Murphy. Michael attended St. Joan of Arc School, and was a 1982 graduate of McGill-Toolen. He is survived by his wife, Holly Parker Murphy. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 2 p.m. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, May 20, from 4-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mobile SPCA via their website at www.mobilespca.org. I lost a very dear friend, a mentor, a brother, and a comrade recently. 


The man whose passion was everything old and collectible, a man with a great foresight to great quality merchandises and excellent taste in all things fashionable and cool.


The man who got me into vintage guitars, otherworldly sunburst Les Pauls, cherry red 335s, maple neck Strats, Brazillian rosewood tone machines, old plexi-glassed Marshall tube amps, and LP records.


The man who had a compassionate yet kind heart and supported me between 1995 ~ 1997 when  I was a student in Mobile, AL.


Mike, you will truly be missed everyday in my life. God bless your kind soul with all eternity in the Heavens. Rest in Peace brother.
